Training of Trainers Model

The Connecticut School Climate Transformation Grant seeks to build the state’s capacity to support local education agencies’ sustained implementation of PBIS. The Training of Trainers (TOT) model is designed to increase the number and capacity of trainers to facilitate and provide technical assistance in the PBIS framework. The Center for Behavioral Education and Research (CBER) at the University of Connecticut serves as the coordinating agency and contract partner for the development of the New England PBIS Training of Trainers (NEPBIS TOT) series.

Participation and successful completion of the TOT model will result in “endorsement” as a New England PBIS Trainer. It is anticipated that most experienced trainers will be eligible for endorsement after one year of participation, and new trainers will be eligible after two years of participation.
